How a Veridryx research lot is made and released

Our peptides are produced by solid-phase synthesis at qualified manufacturing partners, purified by preparative HPLC, freeze-dried and tested before a lot is released.

Why it matters

Process control is what makes results comparable

Two lots of the same compound should behave the same in your assay. That depends on a consistent process and on testing that catches a lot that drifted.

Identity

Mass spectrometry confirms each lot is the intended molecule.

Contaminant screening

Endotoxin and residual solvents are tested where listed for the lot.

Independent records

Results are documented per lot and matched to the label.

Three phases

From amino acids to a sealed vial

PHASE 1

Synthesis

The peptide chain is built one amino acid at a time on a solid resin support (solid-phase peptide synthesis).

  • Protected amino acids coupled in sequence
  • Cleavage from the resin
  • Crude product characterized
Preparative HPLC purification system with fraction collector and Veridryx box
PHASE 2

Purification

Preparative HPLC separates the target peptide from truncated and side-reaction products.

  • Fractions collected and analyzed
  • Only on-target fractions pooled
  • Salt form recorded

PHASE 3

Fill and release

The purified peptide is filled into vials and freeze-dried, then tested before release.

  • Lyophilization for stability
  • Lot number on every label
  • Released only with a complete COA
Step by step

The full process

  1. 1

    Sequence and specification

The target sequence, salt form and acceptance criteria are set for the product.

  2. 2

    Solid-phase synthesis

Amino acids are coupled in order on a resin support.

  3. 3

    Cleavage

The finished chain is cleaved from the resin and protecting groups are removed.

  4. 4

    Crude analysis

The crude peptide is checked by analytical HPLC and mass spectrometry.

  5. 5

    Preparative purification

Preparative HPLC isolates the target peptide.

  6. 6

    Pooling

Fractions that meet specification are combined into a single lot.

  7. 7

    Lyophilization

The lot is filled into vials and freeze-dried into a stable powder.

  8. 8

    Lot testing

Purity and identity are tested, with endotoxin and residual solvents where listed.

  9. 9

    Review and release

Results are reviewed against the specification; only passing lots are released.

  10. 10

    Labeling and storage

Vials are labeled with the lot number and stored cold until shipment.
